HDB SELLING CHECKLIST

  • Register Intend To Sell & Check Ethnic/ PR Quota On The HDB Resale Portal

    Intent To Sell Is  Valid for 12 Months

    - Ensure 5 Years Minimum Occupation Period Is met before selling

  • Getting Ready & List Your Property

    • Analyze Competition, 
    • Set Price
    • Declutter 
    • Post Online With Professional Photos and/or Videos + 360 Virtual Tour
  • Follow Up On Inquiries, Prequalify Buyers & Arrange for Viewings

    Determine if it's first time buyers or looking for contra & negotiate accordingly

  • Send Viewing Reminders, Declutter, Conduct Viewings & Grant Option To Purchase (OTP)

    • Ensure maximum natural light
    • Negotiate terms, option period & grant OTP 
    • Then wait up to 21 Days, during this option period, you cannot sell to anyone else.
  • Buyer Exercised Your Option To Purchase

    • Work out completion date, submit resale application
    • Wait for SMS when HDB's Approval Letter is ready 
    • Wait up to 8 weeks from date of HDB acceptance of resale application for completion appointment date
    • If you have a bank loan or HDB loan, engage HDB or own lawyer for conveyancing & loan redemption.
  • Completion of Your HDB Resale Flat

    • Buyer & seller to attend at HDB Hub
    • Remedy any unapproved reno works & confirm w HDB
    • Stop GIRO account for all payments for your resale flat.
    • Ensure property tax and service & conservancy charges are paid up
    • Vacate HDB to allow buyers to inspect the resale flat.
